You've heard that saying "Our children are our future" or "Today's kids are tomorrow's leaders" Well here is proof that you should rule out one of mine. Here is a snippet of what I go through everyday with a child like Caitlyn.
Caitlyn is almost 16. Her biggest concern in life is getting her hair straightener to get hot enough. She also happens to be the best at "Call of Duty" (xbox) My husband and son think she is a goddess. She apparently beat some level last night that put the boys over the edge.
This is our conversation this morning as we headed to the bus stop. Yes, I drive her because it is half a mile away up hill in the snow. True story.
T: Caitlyn since you are so good at "Call of Duty" maybe you should think of joining the military.
C: Dude (yes I am affectionately called dude). Dude, that is hard work. I don't do sweat. My future does not involve sweating.
End of conversation. There you have it. My kid is out so it is all up to yours. Congrats!
Now you know why I eat so much chocolate,
Tracey
