For the Love of Dress Forms...

The famous words of Tim Gunn... "Make it work". That is just what I did. I made it work. Ok, I didn't make it work. I made my daughter make it work. In the end it worked and that is all that counts. I'm talking about that 3rd Dress Form that has been 'in the works' for what a week now? Goodness gracious it gave us a way to go. I wanted a cage on the bottom of this Dress Form but too many lines caused cutting issues. We went back and forth until we came up with this beauty...

Note: the Dress Form itself is one piece. In my sample I cut two. One solid black, one pattern. I combined the two. I hand stitched (in red) down the front. Pattern papers are CTMH. "inspire me" stamp, ribbon & red cardstock (Poppy Red) are PTI. And for the love of Martha that is her double loop punch. For a 'seamingly nice touch' I added the pin to the sentiment. If you are wondering about those vintage looking thread spools those are from Potterybarn. Just go the the section where they have vases & the goodies to put in them. They are a 'goodie' go figure.

Like the other two Dress Forms, you will find the SVG download link off to the right. Just look. It says "Tracey's Custom SVG Files". They are on a safe file share site where you won't pick up a virus.

To celebrate my first 3 Free SVG files I have come up with a little contest, "Project Runway". All the info and prize info coming in the next post. Now designers, download your files & start dressing.

Tracey, out

LOVE the dress form and what you created with it. I tried to get it from the link, but it says it is no longer there. I also realize this is from last year, but could I still get the svg file from you? If it is easier to email me the file, I could give you my email privately. Just let me know and thanks for showing such beautiful work. ;)
