Apple Picking in Maine- how fun! Anyone have any good recipes they want to share? I've got apples coming out the ying-yang. I've made a pie and apple walnut crisp so far. I'm just about to start sending some to the neighbors- LOL
I'm a CTMH consultant also. I was checking out your blog because I love our Christmas tree. Anyway.....I saw your apple pictures and wanted to share a recipe with you that I got from a restaurant in Castle Rock, CO. It makes a ton but I plan on canning it and giving it away at christmas. It is really really good with cheese and crackers or on pork/chicken.
Apple Chutney
24 apples, cored, peeled and diced 1 cup melted butter 2# brown sugar
1/4 c. lemon juice 3 Tbsp. cinnamon
Combine all ingredients together and bring to a boil, take about 1/3 of the mixture and blend it in the blender, return to pan and continue boiling until thick.
I live in Maine with my husband and two kids while my oldest is in San Fran attending college. I am happiest with my camera attached to my face or making something crafty with paper. I am going on 9 years as a CTMH consultant, I am a Stamping Royalty Contest Winner and have been published many times in Papercrafts & Stamp It.
